Electrical Engineer - Belleville, Illinois location

This position reports to the Manager of the Electrical Department and is a key role in BRiC Partnership. The responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer include working with a department of professional engineers and engineering support staff. You will direct support staff, manage client relationships and foster a collaborative environment with other disciplines and firms. You will play a role in growing the electrical department.

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in building power, lighting and technology system design

  • BS in electrical or architectural engineering

  • Professional licensure or ability to obtain

  • Ability to manage projects

  • Excellent communications skills, both written and oral

Minimum Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for projects from schematic design through construction

  • Working knowledge of the NEC and NFPA

  • Proficient with AutoCAD/ Revit

  • Load calculations

  • Lighting Design

  • Layout and sizing of systems

  • Specifications

  • Estimating

  • Coordination with architects and owners

  • Shop drawing review and Construction Management

  • Verification of existing site conditions (including documentation of systems above ceilings, on roofs, etc.)

Mechanical Department Head - St. Louis, Missouri location

Fire Protection/Plumbing Engineer - Belleville, Illinois or St. Louis, Missouri locations

Required:

  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical/HVAC design

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in plumbing/fire protection design

  • Proficiency in facility plumbing and drainage design; facility fire protection design; wet and dry type systems

  • Experience with water management and legionella prevention strategies a plus

  • Familiarity with NFPA codes and International codes

  • Autocad and Revit proficiency

  • Experience with coordination of other MEP and architectural disciplines

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Fire Protection Engineering

  • Ability to work independently on assignments under guidance of senior staff

  • Excellent communications skills, both written and oral
